Privacy policy

To be completed by the site owner: this page describes how the site is currently built. Before public launch, add the operator’s legal name, contact details and applicable jurisdiction, and have it reviewed. It is not legal advice.

Summary

You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name, email or other personal details to play.
Game progress, favorites and settings are stored only in your browser’s local storage, on your device.
We count page views and game plays with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.
No advertising is shown and no ad networks are used.

Data stored on your device

To make the site more convenient, the following is saved in your browser’s local storage under keys beginning with arcade:v1:

Favorite games and recently played games (game names and the time you played).
Personal best scores and level progress for each game.
Settings such as sound on/off.

This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Scores are not verified and are not shared with other players.

Analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc., our hosting provider) to count page views and game plays. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page address without any search text, the referring site, coarse country, browser, operating system and device type, and simple game events: which game was opened, started, finished (won or lost), restarted, favorited or shared. Vercel tells visitors apart within a day using a short-lived hash of request data rather than any identifier on your device, and we only see aggregated totals.

Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load and respond (Core Web Vitals) on visitors’ devices, again without cookies and without any search text in the page address.

No other analytics service is loaded. If that changes, this page will be updated and you will be asked first where required.

Advertising

There is no advertising on this site at present. If ads are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated before they are switched on.

Your choices

You can also clear everything this site stored on your device with the button above, or through your browser settings.

Hosting

The site is intended to be hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, the hosting provider may process technical information (such as IP addresses) in server logs to deliver and secure the site.

To be completed by the site owner: confirm the hosting provider, log retention, and any processors once deployment is set up.

Children

The games are suitable for a general audience. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
