Four in a Row is the classic vertical connection game. Take turns dropping discs into a seven-column grid; they fall to the lowest free space. Line up four of your colour across, down or diagonally to win the game, and block your opponent while you build. Play a match against a computer opponent on easy, normal or hard, or pass the device to a friend for two-player games.

Rules
- Players take turns dropping one disc into a column; it falls to the lowest empty space.
- Four of your discs in a line — across, down or diagonally — wins the game.
- If the grid fills with no line of four, the game is a draw.
- A match is first to 3 game wins (1 or 5 in Options); the starting player alternates each game.
- Against the computer, quick wins score more, and harder levels multiply your points.
Tips and strategy
- Discs in the centre column take part in the most possible lines — claim it early.
- Look for threats your opponent could complete next turn before making your own plan.
- Two threats at once cannot both be blocked: build toward a double threat.
- Watch the space directly above a threat — playing under it can hand your opponent the win.
