Gem Guard is a tower defence game across twenty maps. Creatures crawl along a winding dirt path towards your glowing gem; tap the grass beside the path to build towers. Bolt towers fire quick single shots, cannons blast groups, frost towers slow everything they hit, and lasers burn straight through armour. Earn gold for every creature defeated and every wave cleared, upgrade towers twice for more range and power, and sell them back if you need to rethink. Runners dash, tanks shrug off hits and armoured beetles demand lasers. Survive every wave — without losing a life for three stars.
How to play Gem Guard
Goal: Survive every wave on each map before your gem’s lives run out.
Keyboard & mouse
- Click the grass to build (choose a tower), click a tower to upgrade or sell
- Click “Start wave” (or press Space); ×1/×2 (or F) changes speed
- Keyboard: arrows move the cursor, 1–4 build, U upgrades, S sells; P or Escape pauses
Phone & tablet
- Tap the grass beside the path and choose a tower
- Tap a tower to upgrade or sell it; tap “Start wave” when ready
Rules
- Towers can only be built on grass, not on the path.
- Bolt: fast single shots. Cannon: splash damage. Frost: slows creatures. Laser: ignores armour.
- Each tower can be upgraded twice; selling returns 70% of what you spent.
- Creatures that reach the gem cost a life (tanks cost three).
- Clearing a wave earns bonus gold. Start the next wave when you are ready.
Tips and strategy
- Build at corners where the path passes a tower twice.
- Put frost towers before your damage towers.
- Save gold for lasers before armoured waves arrive.
