Territory Trail is a game of nerve and geometry. Leave the safety of your coloured land and your marker draws a glowing trail across the open board; make it back to your land and every region without a spark inside becomes yours. But sparks bounce around the open area, and if one touches your trail before you close it, you lose a life. Claim 75% of the board to win each of six levels — from level 3, a crawler patrols your own land too.
How to play Territory Trail
Goal: Claim 75% of the board on each of the six levels.
Keyboard & mouse
- Hold an arrow key (or WASD) to move
- On your land you stop when you let go; on open ground you keep going
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Touch and drag in a direction, and hold to keep moving
- Release on your land to stop
Rules
- Your coloured land is safe. Moving onto open ground lays a trail.
- Return to your land to close the trail: every open area with no spark inside is claimed.
- A spark touching your trail — or you, while you trail — costs a life. So does crossing your own trail.
- From level 3 a crawler runs along your land; avoid it when you are not trailing.
- Claim 75% to clear the level. Bigger claims and spare lives score more.
Tips and strategy
- Short trails along the edges are safe ways to start.
- Watch the sparks before you leave your land — go when they head away.
- Trap sparks in small pockets to make the rest of the board safe.
