Block Drop is a fast falling-block game with its own twist: an original set of gem shapes — a single pebble, rods, corners, crates, tees, hooks, zigs and a five-gem star — falling into a narrow nine-wide well. Slide and turn each shape, see where it will land, hold one for later, and fill complete rows to clear them. Chains of clears build combos, a clear board pays a big bonus, and every ten lines the drop speeds up.
How to play Block Drop
Goal: Clear rows for as long as you can before the stack reaches the top.
Keyboard & mouse
- ← → to move (hold to slide)
- ↑ or X rotates clockwise, Z rotates back
- ↓ soft drop, Space hard drop
- C or Shift to hold a piece, P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Drag left or right to move, drag down to drop faster
- Tap to rotate, flick down to drop instantly, flick up to hold
- Or use the buttons under the well
Rules
- Fill a whole row across the well to clear it.
- The outline shows where the falling shape will land.
- Hold stores the current shape for later (once per drop).
- Clearing rows on consecutive drops builds a combo; emptying the whole well scores a big bonus.
- Every 10 lines the level rises and shapes fall faster.
Tips and strategy
- Keep the stack flat — tall towers leave holes.
- Save the single pebble in Hold to plug an awkward gap.
- The star needs a plus-shaped hole or a flat surface: keep a spot ready for it.
