Anagram Builder hands you seven letter tiles and ninety seconds. Tap the tiles (or type) to build words of three letters or more and press Enter to score them: rare letters and long words are worth more, and finding the seven-letter word that uses every tile earns a big bonus. Every rack is made from a familiar seven-letter word, so there is always a full-rack answer and plenty of shorter words hiding inside. Shuffle the tiles for a fresh look. After each rack you see the familiar words you missed. Three racks make a game.
How to play Anagram Builder
Goal: Score as many points as you can from three racks of seven letters.
Keyboard & mouse
- Type letters from the rack, Backspace to delete, Enter to submit
- Space shuffles the tiles, Delete clears the word
- Or click the tiles and buttons
- Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Tap tiles to spell a word, then tap Enter
- Shuffle mixes the tiles; Clear starts the word again
Rules
- Words must have at least 3 letters and use each tile at most once.
- Points: the letters’ values (shown on the tiles) × (length − 2).
- Using all seven letters earns a 50-point bonus.
- Each rack lasts 90 seconds; afterwards you see familiar words you missed.
Tips and strategy
- Look for common endings such as -ER, -ING and -ED first.
- Shuffle when you get stuck — a new arrangement suggests new words.
- Plurals count: if you find a word, try adding S.
