Island Settler is a relaxed town-building game played one day at a time. Three settlers land on a small island of beaches, meadows, forests and rocks. Place woodcutters next to the trees, quarries by the rocks, fishers on the beach and farms in the meadows; build houses so newcomers have somewhere to live, and keep everyone fed. Later islands add production chains: a sawmill turns wood into planks, and a toolsmith turns planks and stone into tools — all needed for the final lighthouse. Settlers staff buildings in the order you built them, so plan your workforce and pause jobs when you need hands elsewhere. Six scenarios with clear goals; finish under par for three stars. Your island is saved on this device between visits.
How to play Island Settler
Goal: Reach every goal of the scenario — settlers, goods or the lighthouse — in as few days as you can.
Keyboard & mouse
- Click a building in the toolbar (or press 1–8), then click a tile to place it
- N ends the day; X demolish, Q pause a job, 0 look
- Arrows move the cursor and Enter places
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Tap a building in the toolbar, then tap a tile to place it
- Tap End day to move time forward
Rules
- Woodcutters make 1 wood per nearby forest tile and quarries 1 stone per nearby rock (up to 3); fishers catch 1 food per touching sea tile.
- Each building needs settlers to work it; they are assigned in the order you built, and idle buildings show “zz”.
- Every two settlers eat one food a day. Run out and a settler leaves; lose everyone and the colony fails.
- Houses give room for 4 more settlers; newcomers arrive when there is room and food to spare.
- Sawmills turn wood into planks; toolsmiths turn a plank and a stone into a tool.
- The top bar shows each stock and how much it will change tomorrow.
Tips and strategy
- Put woodcutters where the preview shows +3.
- Keep food rising before you build lots of houses.
- Pause a workplace to move its workers to something more urgent.
