Pulse Runner is a rhythm platformer. Your glowing square runs right on its own at a steady speed, and every spike, pit, block and pillar is placed exactly on the beat of a synthesized backing track — so you can play by ear as well as by eye. Tap to jump over spikes and pits, land on blocks and hop off them again; hold to keep bouncing. Glowing portals switch you into fly mode, where holding rises and letting go sinks, and you thread gaps between pillars. Each of the six tracks gets faster and denser. You have five lives per track and restart from the last portal after a crash; a clean run earns three stars.

- Portals switch between running and flying. When flying, hold to rise and let go to sink between the pillars.
- A crash costs one of five lives and restarts you just before the last portal.
- Finish without crashing for three stars; two crashes or fewer for two.
Tips and strategy
- Listen to the kick drum — jumps fall on the beat.
- Small taps in fly mode keep you level.
