Bowling Lanes is ten-pin bowling seen from above. Slide the ball along the foul line, then swipe up to bowl: the swipe’s direction is your line, its speed your pace, and curving the end of the swipe puts spin on the ball. The ball skids straight through the oil and hooks on the dry back end, so a well-judged hook into the pocket sends pins flying into each other. Every frame is scored properly — strikes, spares and the bonus balls in the tenth — on a scorecard beside the lane. Bowl a full game against Weekend Wendy, League Lou and finally Pro Priya.
How to play Bowling Lanes
Goal: Bowl a higher ten-frame score than your rival to move up the ladder.
Keyboard & mouse
- Drag sideways near the foul line to move the ball
- Drag upwards and release to bowl (curve the end of the drag for spin)
- Or Left/Right to move, Up/Down to angle, Q/E for spin and Space to bowl
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Drag sideways near the bottom to move the ball
- Swipe up to bowl — faster for more pace
- Curve the end of your swipe to hook the ball
Rules
- Each frame you get two balls to knock down all ten pins.
- A strike (all ten with the first ball) scores 10 plus your next two balls; a spare (all ten with two) scores 10 plus your next ball.
- In the tenth frame a strike or spare earns bonus balls.
- The ball goes straight through the oil and hooks on the last part of the lane. The dotted guide shows its line through the oil.
- You and your rival bowl alternate frames; the higher total after ten frames wins.
Tips and strategy
- Aim to enter just to one side of the head pin (the pocket) — dead centre often leaves a split.
- Start the ball on the opposite side to your hook so it curves back in.
- For spares, aim at the front pin of what is left.
