Pool Break is classic eight-ball on a portrait table. Break the rack, claim solids or stripes with your first pot, clear your group and sink the black to win. An aim guide shows where the cue ball will strike and where the object ball will go; pull the power slider to set the strength and let go to shoot. Fouls give your opponent ball in hand, and potting the 8 too early loses the rack. Three rivals, from a wobbly Rookie to a sharp-shooting Champion.
How to play Pool Break
Goal: Pot all of your group (solids or stripes), then the 8-ball, before your rival does.
Keyboard & mouse
- Drag on the table to aim; drag the power slider (right) and release to shoot
- Or Left/Right to aim, Up/Down for power and Space to shoot
- With ball in hand, drag the cue ball to place it
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Drag on the table to aim
- Pull the power slider down and let go to shoot
- Ball in hand: drag the cue ball where you want it
Rules
- Break the rack. The first ball you pot after that decides your group.
- Keep shooting while you pot your own balls; a miss passes the turn.
- Fouls — potting the cue ball, hitting nothing, or hitting a rival ball (or the 8) first — give your rival ball in hand.
- Pot the 8 after clearing your group to win; potting it earlier, or with a foul, loses.
Tips and strategy
- The ghost-ball circle shows exactly where the cue ball will touch — line it up with the pocket.
- Softer shots keep the cue ball under control for the next pot.
- If no pot is on, tap one of your balls safely next to a cushion.
