Table Tennis is a top-down ping-pong duel with the ball’s height and spin fully simulated. Move your bat with a finger, the mouse or the arrow keys and meet the ball after it bounces on your side. Where it strikes your bat sets the angle, and swinging forward hits harder with topspin that dips the ball onto the table — or hold back for a floating backspin chop. Serves must bounce on your side first, returns must clear the net and land on the other half, and the serve changes every two points. Play to 11, win by two, against Rookie Rui, Spinner Sol, Blocker Bea and Ace Arun.
How to play Table Tennis
Goal: Win a game to 11 points (by two clear points) against each opponent.
Keyboard & mouse
- Move the mouse (button held) or use the arrow keys to move your bat
- Hit happens when the ball reaches your bat after bouncing
- Hold Up while hitting for an attacking topspin shot, Down for a backspin chop
- Click or press Space to serve (Left/Right steers the serve)
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Drag your finger to move the bat (it sits just above your finger)
- Swing forward into the ball to hit harder
- Tap to serve
Rules
- Let the ball bounce once on your side, then meet it with your bat.
- The part of the bat that meets the ball sets the angle: the edges send it wide (and maybe out).
- Moving the bat forward as you hit adds pace and topspin; a very hard flat swing can find the net.
- A serve must bounce on your side and then on your opponent’s side.
- You win a point when your opponent misses, hits the net, hits it out, or lets it bounce twice.
Tips and strategy
- Stay behind the end of the table and move side to side early.
- Aim away from where the computer’s bat is standing.
- Backspin chops are slower but safer when you are stretched.
