Hoop Shot is a sixty-second basketball shoot-out. Drag from the ball towards the hoop and let go: the length of the drag sets the power and a dotted arc shows the start of the throw. The ball bounces realistically off the rim and the backboard, so bank shots count too — but a clean swish that touches nothing is worth an extra point. Sink three in a row for double points and six for triple. Each basket moves you to a new, farther spot, and once you get going the hoop starts sliding up and down.
How to play Hoop Shot
Goal: Score as many points as you can in 60 seconds.
Keyboard & mouse
- Press anywhere and drag up towards the hoop, then release to shoot (longer drag = more power)
- Or Left/Right to aim, Up/Down for power and Space to shoot
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Touch and drag up towards the hoop, then let go
- The dotted arc shows where the throw starts
Rules
- A basket is worth 2 points; a swish (no rim, no board) is worth 3.
- Three baskets in a row doubles your points, six in a row triples them. A miss ends the streak.
- Each basket moves the ball to a new spot, farther away as you score.
- From 12 points the hoop starts moving up and down — faster as your score climbs.
- A ball in the air when the buzzer goes still counts.
Tips and strategy
- High, soft arcs drop in more often than flat, hard throws.
- Aim for the back of the rim on far shots — the board helps.
- Against a moving hoop, release as it reaches the top or bottom of its travel.
