Spider Solitaire is the two-deck patience game where you build long runs from King down to Ace. Any card can sit on one a rank higher, but only runs of a single suit move together — and a complete King-to-Ace run of one suit leaves the table. Clear all eight to win. Choose one suit for a relaxed game, two for a challenge or all four for experts; in one- and two-suit modes every deal can be won, proven by a solver.

How to play Spider Solitaire

Goal: Build eight complete King-to-Ace runs of one suit to clear all 104 cards.

Keyboard & mouse

  • Drag a card or same-suit run, or click it to send it to the best column
  • Click the stock (or press D) to deal a new row
  • U or Ctrl+Z to undo, H for a hint
  • Tab moves between cards, Enter plays the focused card

Phone & tablet

  • Tap a card to move it automatically, or drag it
  • Tap the stock at the bottom right to deal a new row
  • New deal, Undo, Hint and Options sit under the table

Rules

  • Any card may be placed on a card exactly one rank higher, whatever its suit.
  • Only a run of one suit in descending order can be moved as a group.
  • A finished King-to-Ace run of one suit is removed automatically.
  • Dealing adds one card to every column; every column must have a card first.
  • Score starts at 500, drops 1 per move and rises 100 per completed run.

Tips and strategy

  • Build in suit whenever you can — mixed-suit stacks are hard to move later.
  • Empty columns are precious: use them to reorder runs, not as parking.
  • Uncover face-down cards early, starting with the shortest columns.
