Pyramid Solitaire is a quick adding-up patience game. Twenty-eight cards are stacked in a seven-row pyramid; remove any two free cards that total 13 — a 6 with a 7, a Jack (11) with a 2, a Queen (12) with an Ace — and Kings go on their own. Pair from the stock too, and you may go through it three times. Every “clearable” deal has been cleared by a solver, and the hint shows the next step on its best line.
How to play Pyramid Solitaire
Goal: Remove all 28 cards of the pyramid.
Keyboard & mouse
- Click two free cards that add up to 13; click a King to remove it
- Click the stock (or press D) to turn a card
- Tab to a card and press Enter; U undo, H hint
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Tap two free cards that total 13; tap a King on its own
- Tap the stock to turn a card, or to turn the waste back over
- New deal, Undo, Hint and Options sit under the table
Rules
- A card is free when no card overlaps it from the row below.
- Remove two free cards whose values add up to 13: A = 1, J = 11, Q = 12. Kings (13) go alone.
- The top card of the waste can pair with a pyramid card.
- You may go through the stock three times.
- Score: 10 per pyramid card, plus 500 and 100 per unused pass for clearing it.
Tips and strategy
- Free the cards near the bottom that are blocking two cards each.
- Save waste cards you will need soon — they can only be reached from the top.
- Count how many of each rank remain: a 6 with no 7 left is a dead end.
