Klondike Solitaire is the classic single-player card game. Build each suit up from Ace to King on the foundations, using seven tableau columns that stack down in alternating colours. Play Draw 1 for a relaxed game or Draw 3 for a real challenge. With “winnable deals” on, every deal has been checked by a solver and can be won. Drag or tap cards, undo freely, ask for a hint, and finish automatically once every card is showing.

How to play Klondike Solitaire

Goal: Move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, each suit from Ace to King.

  • Click the stock (or press D) to draw
  • U or Ctrl+Z to undo, H for a hint, F to auto-finish

Phone & tablet

  • Tap a card to move it automatically, or drag it where you want
  • Tap the stock to draw
  • New deal, Undo, Hint and Options sit under the table

Rules

  • Tableau columns build down in alternating colours (red on black, black on red).
  • You can move a whole run of correctly stacked cards together.
  • Only a King — or a run starting with a King — can fill an empty column.
  • Turn cards from the stock one (Draw 1) or three (Draw 3) at a time; the waste can be turned over again as often as you like.
  • Hidden cards flip over automatically when uncovered.

Tips and strategy

  • Uncover face-down cards first — they hold the cards you need.
  • Do not rush to empty a column unless you have a King ready for it.
  • Keep foundations even: moving a low card up early can leave nowhere to park its neighbours.
