Paint Spill is a short, clever colour puzzle. The board is a patchwork of coloured tiles and your paint starts as a little puddle in the top-left corner. Pick a colour and the whole puddle turns that colour, soaking up every touching tile of it — so the puddle grows with each pour. Cover the entire board before you run out of moves. Choosing the colour that grabs the most tiles right now is not always best; sometimes a smaller pour opens the way to a huge one next turn. Twelve boards grow from 8 × 8 with four colours to 14 × 14 with six, and the move limits get tighter. Every colour also has its own symbol, so you never have to rely on colour alone.
How to play Paint Spill
Goal: Turn the whole board one colour within the move limit.
Keyboard & mouse
- Click a colour at the bottom, or press 1–6
- P or Escape to pause
Phone & tablet
- Tap a colour button to pour it
Rules
- Your paint is the area connected to the top-left tile (shown without symbols).
- Pouring a colour repaints your area and joins every touching tile of that colour.
- You must cover the board before the moves run out.
- Match the target move count for three stars, or one more for two.
Tips and strategy
- Look two pours ahead: a small pour can open a big one.
- Head for the far corner — the middle fills itself.
- Colours that are almost gone can be finished last.
